Church LED Video Display Overview
Church LED Video walls are critical to the success of services particularly when the sanctuary has windows that allow ambient light into the room. Projected images and colors when exposed to ambient light become faint, hard to see and colors look washed out. The color black in particular looks very pale. Church LED displays are not affected by ambient light and as a result images and colors are sharp, deep, and precise.
Church LED screen panels can either be in a 16:9 native aspect ratio or in a 1:1 native aspect ratio. A church LED wall in a 16:9 native aspect ratio is used for live performances shot by video. Video is shot in a 16:9 native aspect ratio and therefore the images are shown in a 16:9 native aspect ratio without the need for controllers to modify the images. The congregation sees the images exactly as they were shot. A church LED screen panel in a 1:1 ratio is used quite often on the stage so that the shape of the church LED display can be changed on a weekly basis in order to enhance the services.
A video wall for church package quite often consists of three (3) LED screen panels. One church LED wall for the stage and one for each of the two (2) side walls. Modular LED screens can be used in churches whereby the shapes of the LED video wall packages can be altered, changed or modified to suit the specific needs and shapes of the sanctuary.
Most sanctuaries have a stage and as a result the parishioners are 20’-30’ from the church LED display. As a result a pixel pitch of P4 is usually workable as pixelation will not be seen at 13.5’ from the church led video wall. However with prices coming down many led video wall packages are opting for a pixel pitch of P2.5.
