Outdoor Led Poseidon Series

Vanguard’s Outdoor LED Poseidon screen boldly goes where our competition will not, the ocean! Posedion has been developed specifically to prevent the relentless corrosion normally associated with saltwater and salt air. Applications include cruise ships, advertising vessels and coastal digital signage. Intertek, an independent worldwide lab has certified that both the front and back of each cabinet have an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 66.

This is the highest IP rating available for an outdoor LED display. The entire cabinet is fully enclosed. There are no external connections. The Poseidon outdoor LED series is available in P10.3 and P16 pixel pitches.

Why does the Poseidon Series LED display work well for marine environments?

The Poseidon Series can handle harsh marine settings like saltwater and salty air. It has a enclosed cabinet with an IP66 rating (Ingress Protection rating) on both the front and back. This IP protection shields it from humidity, saltwater, salt air and dust thus preventing internal rust damage. That’s why it is ideal for cruise ships, cruise ship reception areas, ports coastal signage, and even boats displaying ads.

What does an IP66 rating mean for outdoor LED displays?

IP66 means the LED display prevents the intrusion of moisture, salt air, salt water, and dust and resists strong water jets from any direction. This offers the highest level of protection to keep outdoor LED screens operating even in tough weather conditions or rough ocean conditions.

What pixel pitches come in the Poseidon Series?

You can find the Poseidon Series in two-pixel pitches: P10.3 and P16. These pitches work well for screens meant to be seen from far away, like large outdoor displays on ships, at docks, or on billboards near the coast. They are perfect for viewers at a distance.

Does the Poseidon display have any exposed parts or connections outside?

No, it doesn’t. The Poseidon Series is sealed, with no external connections or open components. This design prevents the intrusion of saltwater salt air and dust thus preventing internal rust damage making it durable in wet, salty, or windy conditions.

In what locations can Poseidon Series LED displays be installed?

The ideal place to install Poseidon Series LED screens is anywhere exposed to sea conditions. They perform well on cruise ships, ferry terminals, waterfront resorts, advertising boats, sea-side restaurants and any locations near water. These displays resist salt water, salt air, dust and humidity while maintaining superb performance.
