Tungsten Series

The Tungsten Series

The Tungsten series features corner edge protectors and slightly raised modules to provide solid edge protection when attaching frames together. A protective resin covering results in a high-impact resistant LED Display.

The cabinet is front or rear-serviceable and has a die-cast aluminum frame. The 8-point integral locking system enables quick assembly as well as precise alignment. Aluminum modules improve flatness uniformity which allows for the protective resin encasement to be as flat and uniform as possible. The Tungsten series is very stout as it is designed to withstand the rigors of the rental market

Why is an LED display a good choice for rentals or events?

An LED display designed for rentals needs to be tough, simple to assemble, and easy to fix. Vanguard’s Tungsten Series checks all these boxes by using a sturdy aluminum frame featuring an 8-point locking system, and adding a protective resin coating. This protective coating makes the display, impact, dust and humidity resistant. The Tungsten Series also has protected corners for shipping and a raised front display to protect the bottom chips from being broken. These features make it perfect to handle repeated use in rental situations.

Can people use LED video walls in XR studios or for broadcasting?

The Vanguard xR Studio Broadcast Series can achieve exceptionally accurate colors that exceed the DCI-P3 Digital Cinema Initiatives Protocol.  The Cesium, Tungsten, and Zirconium Series LED walls work well for XR setups and broadcasting. These series have features like very high refresh rates, 1000 nits brightness, HDR clarity, 14-bit grayscale quality, and works with Brompton controllers to manage 3D color and remap frames. This makes these series it suitable for live productions and studio work.

Why do LED displays need a high refresh rate?

A high refresh rate such as 3840Hz or more, allows videos to play smoothly and prevents flickering. This is crucial in setups where cameras are involved, like XR stages, live TV broadcasts or House of Worship live video services.

What does front and rear serviceability mean for LED displays?

Technicians can reach components from either the front or back of displays designed for front and rear service ass the situation calls for. This setup speeds up repairs and makes it easier to maintain screens when working in cramped areas.

What are the benefits of resin-encapsulated LED modules?

A layer of resin protects the surface of LEDs guarding against knocks, water intrusion, and dust. This added toughness makes LED displays last longer and works well to handle outdoor setups or frequent rentals.
