Axion is the best solution for indoor, fixed 16:9 displays, featuring very fine pixel pitches from P0.06 to P3.7 . Axion utilizes SMD pixels as standard and can have an optional epoxy masking or coating applied to provide enhanced durability. Gold bonding wire is also available.
Axion is available with standard 600×337.5 panels, and 300×337.5 half-width panels allowing for smaller design units, and narrower facets for curved displays. Axion can also create squares and rectangles.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the main components of an LED display?
LED displays are made up of individual panels, and each panel contains five primary components:
1. Frame – the housing structure
2. Power Supply – converts AC to low-voltage DC
3. Receiving Card – receives signal and drives the image
4. Hub Board – routes power and data to modules
5. LED Modules – the PCBs holding the LED pixels and IC drivers
A proper installation includes a quantity spare parts for each component (minus the frame). Vanguard LED Displays goes further by supplying an enhanced set of spares, especially for TAA-compliant configurations.
What are the different types of pixels in direct-view LED technology today?
Today’s LED display market includes several pixel technologies. SMD (Surface-Mount Device) pixels dominate for pitches above ~0.9mm, offering durability and high image quality. COB (Chip-On-Board) excels in sub-1mm fine-pitch and cost-effective mid-pitch applications. MIP (Micro-In-Package) represents the newest generation, combining durability, color accuracy, and efficient power handling. Vanguard LED Displays offers solutions with SMD, COB, and MIP depending on application needs.
What does it mean if an LED display uses gold wire, copper wire, or flip-chip technology?
Gold wire, copper wire, and flip-chip refer to how the individual red, green, and blue LED chips are connected. Gold wire was the original standard for conductivity and corrosion resistance, copper wire provides cost-effective performance, and flip-chip eliminates bonding wires entirely for superior efficiency. Vanguard LED Displays offers all three connection methods to match client budgets and performance needs.
Is it possible to curve or customize the shape of indoor LED displays?
Yes. Many indoor LED systems such as Axion-Pro, come with modular panels and half-width units. These features allow for the creation of curved screens or displays with unique shapes. There are also flex tiles used in the Cerium Series that can bend in any direction allowing for the creation of cylinders and domes.
How do I know if I need a fine-pitch display or one with mini or micro LED?
Fine-pitch and standard LED displays serve different purposes depending on viewing distance and application:
– Fine-pitch LED (<2mm) – Best for close viewing environments like control rooms, conference spaces, and houses of worship where text and detail must be crystal clear.
– Standard LED (>2mm) – Ideal for auditoriums, arenas, outdoor signage, and large venues where viewers are farther away.
– Budget considerations – Fine-pitch displays carry higher cost but deliver unmatched clarity in close-range settings. For House of Worship and other displays with the audience further from the display, 2.5-4mm is usually ideal.
Understanding the audience and space helps determine which option is right. Vanguard LED Displays offers both fine-pitch and standard solutions, guiding clients to the right choice for their specific applications.
Can LED displays wrap around an outside 90-degree corner without a large space between the faces?
Yes. LED displays can wrap cleanly around building corners or structures by utilizing special frames with modified left and right edges. This eliminates visual gaps and creates continuous images across edges for dynamic architectural effects.
Vanguard LED Displays manufactures corner-capable solutions for both indoor and outdoor projects.
